[English]

Emotional disorders affect people's mental and physical health and cause physical and mental problems and interpersonal problems. The aim of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of emotional dysregulation in the relationship between emotional misbehavior and emotional disorder symptoms in adolescents. The research method was descriptive-correlation and structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all adolescents of Tehran, from among whom 530 people were selected by purposive sampling. Gratz and Romer Emotional Dysregulation Questionnaire (DER-2004), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ-1998), Brief Symptoms Scale (SCL-90-R-1973) were used to collect data. SPSS23 software and LISREL8.8 software were used for data analysis. Structural equation modeling showed that emotional abuse both directly and indirectly (through emotional dysregulation) affects the symptoms of emotional disorders in adolescents. The evaluation of the hypothetical research model using fit indices showed that the hypothetical model fits the measurement model (CFI=0.87, NFI=0.98, RMSEA=0.058). In line with McLaughlin's model, the results of this research showed that emotional abuse has an effect on the symptoms of emotional disorders in women. Also, these findings emphasize that emotional abuse causes emotional problems through emotional mechanisms.
