Cancer is one of the most common and serious problems in women's health. The aim of the present study was the role of clarity, regulation and emotion processing in predicting hope for treatment in women with cancer. This descriptive research is correlational. The statistical population of this research included all women with breast cancer referred to Imam Hospital in Ardabil city. The research sample consisted of 200 women with cancer who were selected by available sampling method. To measure the studied variables, Omid Herth Index Questionnaire (2000), Salovey et al.'s Trait Traits Scale (1995), Garanevsky et al.'s Short Version Cognitive Regulation Questionnaire (2001) and Baker et al.'s Short Form Emotion Processing Scale (2007) used. Research data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression methods in SPSS.21 software. The results of multiple regression showed that 3% of hope for treatment is explained by emotion clarity components, 35% by emotion regulation components and 14% by emotion processing components. These findings indicate that emotion regulation and emotional management play a very important role in predicting hope for treatment in women with cancer.
