[English]

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of instructioanal multimedia with emotional design on the attitude and learning of students in the experimental science lesson of the fourth grade of elementary school. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the research consisted of fourth-grade students of Ivan-e Gharb city in the first semester of the academic year 2022 - 2023. Using single-stage cluster sampling, one school was randomly selected from 15 schools in the city as the research sample, and its students (32 individuals) were randomly assigned to the experimental group (16 individuals) and the control group (16 individuals). First, a learning pre-test was taken from the samples. Then, both groups were taught respectively by using multimedia presentation in the way of emotional design and multimedia presentation in the way of simple design and pictures without emotional elements. instruction was provided in both groups in 8 sessions. At the end of the instruction, a learning post-test (researcher-made learning test) and an attitude questionnaire of Connecta et al. (2020) were administered. The research data were analyzed using covariance analysis test and independent two-group t-test. The comparison of learning scores in the experimental and control groups showed that learning after implementation of instruction in the emotional multimedia group significantly increased (P < 0.01), also, the attitude towards the experimental science lesson in the experimental group are better than the students of the control group (P<0.01). Based on the findings of the research, if teachers use multimedia education with emotional design in the lesson of experimental sciences, while increasing the quality of instruction, they help to promote learning and improve the attitude of students.
