[English]

The purpose of the present study was to investigate Causal modeling of post-traumatic stress disorder based on posttraumatic growth and sense of coherence with mediating role of feelings of loneliness in women affected by husband's marital infidelity. This was descriptive-correlation research. The statistical population was all women affected by husband's marital infidelity who referred to counseling centers and psychological services in Isfahan city in the spring of 2024. The sample size was selected and with convenience sampling of 300 women. Data collection tools include the revised civilian Mississippi scale for PTSD (RCMS) of [1]Norris and Perilla (1996), posttraumatic growth inventory (PTGI) of Tedeschi and Calhoun (1996), sense of coherence questionnaire (SOCQ) of Flensborg-medsen (1993) and University of California, Los Angeles- loneliness scale, version 3 (UCLA LS3) of Russell (1996). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and structural equations modeling. The results showed direct effect posttraumatic growth and sense of coherence were significant on post-traumatic stress disorder. Also, the results showed that feelings of loneliness had a mediating role in relationship between posttraumatic growth and sense of coherence with post-traumatic stress disorder. Based on the results of this research, it is suggested that the relationship between these variables should be taken into consideration in interventions post-traumatic stress disorder in affected by husband's marital infidelity.
