The present study aimed to study the relationship between young’s early maladaptive schema and profile of SCL-90-R symptoms. Therefore, using convenience sampling, 100 students in faculty of Educational sciences and Psychology of University of Tabriz were selected and were assessed by YSQ-LS and SCL-90-R. Data were analyzed by stepwise regression method and independent sample t-test. Results showed that maladaptive schema had a significant role in the prediction of subscales of SCL-90-R (o<.01). Besides, vulnerability to harm and illness, subjugation, abandonment/instability, and emotional deprivation could predict 53% of variance of total mental health. There was a significant relationship between mistrust/abuse scheme and symptoms of paranoid ideation. Therefore, it could be suggested that maladaptive schema have a significant role in the prediction of mental disorders.
