Publication Ethics

Publication of articles in the Quarterly Journal of Modern Psychological Researches requires judgment and careful evaluation by the review judges who are well-known professors in the field of psychology. To ensure the quality of the publications, significant scientific results, and the author's scientific credibility, it is needed to the authors, judges, and members of the editorial board to observe all the ethical principles of publishing. The Quarterly Journal of Modern Psychological Researches follows all the rules of COPE (Publication Ethics Committee) and implements all the rules in the journal.

 

Duties of publisher

  • The profiles of authors are always kept confidential by those who have access to their specifications, such as editor-in-chief, editorial members, and judges.
  • Professional and fair judging: Decisions about the scientific validity of articles will be made at any stage, regardless of ethnic, sexual, racial, religious, political or ideological affiliation
  • Inform quarterly policies for authors, audiences and judges: Articles also should be reviewed periodically in accordance with the new recommendations of the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE)
  • At any stage of submitting, judging, editing, or publishing an article in a journal or after, the occurrence of plagiarism is thought immoral publishing and research behavior and the right publication deals with it legally

 

Duties of authors

  • Submitted papers must be approved by its author to consider for refereeing in journal. Authors must thus have an active presence to design and prepare all materials of their papers
  • Authors have no right to submit or publish an article or part of it to any other journal at the same time.
  • It is possible to cancel the refereeing process of the articles up to 3 days after uploading in the system
  • Author corresponding of articles should be identified
  • All of the authors must have critically reviewed content of articles and have approved the final version submitted for publication. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the manuscript content
  • The responsible author is obliged to make the necessary corrections at each stage of the review of the article within the time period determined by the journal and to inform the journal if it needs more time.

 

Duties of judges

  • Timeliness, responsibility, accountability, interest and adherence to professional ethics and respect for the rights of others
  • The arbitration/judging must be based on scientific documents and sufficient reasoning based on the standard arbitration form of the journal and personal opinion must be avoided in judging articles
  • Professional and fair judging will be made at any stage, regardless of ethnic, sexual, racial, religious, political or ideological affiliation
  • The referee should transfer the matter to the editor and members of the editorial board if he/she notices fraud, plagiarism and violation of professional ethics by the authors.
  • Reviewing article sources and ensure correct citations and APA citation style

 

Duties of the editor and members of the editorial board

  • The authority and responsibility of accepting or rejecting an article after obtaining the opinion of the judges is the responsibility of the editor and members of the editorial board of the journal
  • The editor is obliged to provide the author with any items to increase and improve the quality of the article
  • The editor and editorial board of the journal must make it their main goal to maintain and improve the quality of the articles
  • The editor and members of the editorial board are obliged to observe responsibility, ethics, punctuality and accountability to the authors
  • Final decisions of editor about the articles should be made regardless of ethnic, sexual, racial, religious, political or ideological affiliation
  • The identities of the judges and authors should be anonymous until making final decisions about the article
  • Conflicts of interest between editorial board members, authors and judges must be properly resolved
