The present research was conducted to compare the theory of mind in individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder and normal staffs of private clinics and mental hospitals in Ardabil. 60 persons (20 individual with Schizophrenia ‘20 individual with bipolar affective disorder and 20 healthy individuals were selected through available sampling method. Then, theory of mind tests performed with pictorial images and false-belief for them. Analysis of variance (Manova) indicated that individuals with schizophrenia in comparison with normal individuals have the lowest function in theory of mind pictorial images and false- belief tests. In theory of mind tests, also the individuals with schizophrenia in comparison with bipolar affective disorders have the lowest function. Therefore, there wasn’t a significant did difference between function of bipolar and normal individuals in theory of mind tests such as false- belief and pictorial images.
