Relationship between Organizational Trust and Organizational Innovativeness Perspective among Teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate organizational trust and organizational innovativeness. This study was conducted with a correlational method. The study population was all of the teachers (N=165, 93 male, 72 female) of state schools in West Gilan. Using random stratified sampling, 116 subjects (65 male teachers, 51 female teachers) were selected. They were assessed by Ellonen organizational trust as well as Wang and Ahmed organizational innovation questionnaires. Data were analyzed by multiple regression method. Results showed that there was a positive correlation between all dimensions of organizational trust and organizational innovativeness (except for behavioral innovation). Hence, it could be proposed that teachers’ organizational innovation could be predicted by institutional trust.
