Compilation and Validation of Dynamic Mindset instrucational Package based on Inteligence beliefs theory of Dweck and determining of it's Effectiveness on tenacity and academic procrastination of female students

Abstract

The aim of this study was to compilation and validate a dynamic mindset instructional package based on theory of intelligence beliefs and determining of its effectiveness on tenacity and academic procrastination of students.The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest and follow-up with the control group.the dynamic mindset instructional package was compiled by experts using library studies, then the content validity ratio and its content validity index were determined by experts. To conduct this research, first a school was randomly selected from 24 high schools for girls in the 18th district of Tehran and for 200 of them a questionnaire of intelligence beliefs was conducted and 36 of them Those with fixed intelligence beliefs were selected as the sample size, then the questionnaires of academic tenacity and academic procrastination were completed as a pretest by the participants and Among them, those who had the least academic tenacity and the most procrastination were selected and replaced in two groups of 18 controls and experiments. The experimental group received a dynamic mindset instrucational package in 8 sessions of 90 minutes and the control group did not receive any training. The research findings were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance. The content validity index for all objectives in the instrucational package was between 0.9 to 1and the content validity ratio for all objectives in the educational protocol was 0.8 to 1.1. Findings showed that the dynamic mindset instrucational package has the ability to increase academic tenacity and reduce academic procrastination among female students.
