Abstract

Abstract:
The aim of the present study is to determine effectiveness of self-awareness- based spirituality therapy on psychological well-being and Assertive of First Year Boy Students of Secondary School in Tabriz city. Research plan of the study is semi-experimental. Statistical universe of the study involved all First Year Boy Students of Secondary School in Tabriz city. From among the statistical universe, 60 students were selected in cluster sampling method being placed in the two experimental and control groups (each containing 30 participants). Rif’s psychological well being questioner and Gambril & Richi’s self-assertiveness questioner were used for data collection. Multivariate covariance analysis and single-variant co-variance analysis were used for data analysis. Results of multivariate covariance analysis indicated that spirituality therapy is effective in psychological well-being components (e.g. independency, mastery on environment, personal growth, positive relations with others, purposivism in life and self-acceptance). Moreover, results of single-variant covariance indicated that spirituality therapy has significant effect on self-assertiveness .Hence, schools counselors and psychologists can improve students’ self-assertiveness and psychological well-being through of spirituality therapy.
