Aim of this study was to investigate association of achievement goal orientation and shyness with avoidance help of seeking. Participants were 101 female students in grade 9 in Yasuj. They were selected by random sampling method. They completed Elliot and Mcgregor’ achievement goal orientation questionnaire, Ryan and Pintrich’ help seeking behavior questionnaire and Stanford shyness questionnaire. Data was analyzed by the multiple regressions. Results showed that the avoidance of help seeking was predicted by shyness and avoidance performance orientation significantly. Findings reveal of the implied important role of motivational-social variables (achievement goal orientation) and personality (shyness) in explaining academic avoidance help seeking behavior. Theoretical implications are discussed in detail.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self esteem and thin ideal internalization with body image dissatisfaction.401 undergraduate woman, which selected through Cluster random sampling responded to Rosenberg self esteem Scale, Multidimensional Body- Self Relation Questionnaire and The Sociocultural Attitudes towards Appearance Scale-3. To analyze the data, significant correlation test and multiple regression analysis were used. Results revealed that self-esteem, <em>internalization- athletic</em> and <em>internalization- general</em> accounted for 17% of the variance in BID. <em>Internalizatin- general</em> revealed direct affect in the prediction of BID and self-esteem and <em>internalization- athlete</em> revealed indirect effect in the prediction of BID.
It should be taken into account that, Internalization and self-esteem have a role in BID, which is researchers and clinicians in research, prevention and treatment should be considered.

The purpose of the current study was to assess the effectiveness of Gestalt therapy and Cognitive–behavior therapy on Migraine. In a semi-experimental study with pretest, posttest and follow up group, 21 college female students with Migraine were randomly placed in either a control or experimental groups. Cognitive behavior groups participated in CBT sessions and Gestalt therapy groups participated in Gestalt therapy sessions for 8 sessions of 1 hour. But, the control group did not receive any treatment. All participants (3 groups) completed the Migraine test before, after intervention and 4 weeks later. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and repeated measures analysis. The experimental group demonstrated a significant decreased the level of Migraine headache. Furthermore, there wasn't significant difference between two experimental groups, in terms of the level of Migraine headache<em>.</em> Gestalt therapy and Cognitiver- behavior therapy were effective for treatment of Migraine headache.

The goal of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of two approaches of integrative-behavioral and cognitive-behavioral couple therapy to and improve the communicational beliefs of couples who want to divorce and has come to the consultant center of social police of Tabriz. 42 participants (21 coples) were selected as sample and randomly assigned into three groups: two experimental and one control group. All participants were asked to complete pre-test and post-test Relationships Beliefs Scale (RBS). Members of experimental groups were given 10 sessions of training on two approaches. Members of control group did not get any training. Data were analyzed through analysis of covariance.
Results indicated significant difference between the experimental and control groups, the results revealed that IBCT and CBCT approaches were significantly effective on enhancing the relationship beliefs (p<0.01), and IBCT was also significantly effective more than CBCT on relationship beliefs

Analysis of variance (Manova) indicated that individuals with schizophrenia in comparison with normal individuals have the lowest function in theory of mind pictorial images and false- belief tests. In theory of mind tests, also the individuals with schizophrenia in comparison with bipolar affective disorders have the lowest function. Therefore, there wasn’t a significant did difference between function of bipolar and normal individuals in theory of mind tests such as false- belief and pictorial images.

Withthe aim of surveying the mediating effects of individual accountability in causal relations among personality traits, stress and job satisfaction, a sample consisting of 250 faculty members in three state universities was chosen using random stratifiedsampling. The data were gathered through NEO big five factor inventories and stress, job satisfaction and individual accountability questionnaires. To evaluate the relations among latent variables, measured in conceptual model, the Structural Equation Modeling was used. The results showed that the personality trait of conscientiousness bears a negative and significant relation with stress, a positive and significant relation with felt accountability, and the personality trait of agreeableness bears a positive and significant relation with satisfaction and a negative and significant relation with accountability. The results also showed that the relation between conscientiousness and job stress is mediated through felt accountability. Meanwhile, the mediating role of the felt accountability in the relation between the personality trait of agreeableness and job satisfaction was not confirmed. In the concerned model all regressive weights except the relation between accountability and job satisfaction were statistically significant. The results put emphasis on the necessity of reassessing the mediating role of felt accountability in surveying the causal relation among personality traits, stress and job satisfaction.

A large group of women is likely to experience depression during the childbearing years and these invalidate unconditional welfare myth in pregnancy. Prevalence of depression during pregnancy is approximately 7/4%, in the first trimester 12/8% during the second trimester and finally 12% in the third trimester. Different Pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments have been provided, but the overall acceptability of antidepressants among this group is low. Several studies have suggested that CBT and IPT, which were compared their effectiveness in this research. The study population comprised all pregnant women that came to Reproductive Health Research Center of Vali-Asr. In order to sample selection, available sampling method was used. Then 24 participants randomly selected and randomly assigned into two groups with 12 members (CBT-G and IPT-G). Both Groups in 8 sessions were run weekly. To collect data Demographic inventory and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) were used. Numerous studies have proven its reliability and validity. Analysis of variance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the data.

Statistical analysis of ANCOVA to test the hypothesis that the value of F calculated for groups (42/14 = F) with degrees of freedom (18 and 1=df), the critical value of F at a significance level of 0/05 is larger. Thus, the lower scores of post-test of CBT group means compared to that IPT group, can be concluded that CBT reduced depression of participants more than IPT.
Review and comparison with results of other studies, the findings of this study suggest that CBT can be generally as preferred treatment for depressed pregnant women to use. Reasons such as having well-structure, short-term period, objective goals, high adaptability to a variety of health and educational populations, task-based, and increasing individual control over their mood swings are among the factors that make cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) a preferred to interpersonal psychotherapy.

Reasons such as having well-structure, short-term period, objective goals, high adaptability to a variety of health and educational populations, task-based, and increasing individual control over their mood swings are among the factors that make cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) a preferred to interpersonal psychotherapy.</OtherAbstract>

The aim of the present study was to compare the children’s behavioral problems of female nurses employed in fixed morning and rotating shift in Tabriz hospitals. In an <em>ex post facto design</em> research, 120 female nurses (60 fixed mornings, 60 rotating) were selected from Tabriz hospitals via satiated purposeful method. For gathering data, CSI-4 was administered. Data were analyzed through multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). Results revealed that there were significant differences in dysthymia (P<0.01), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) (P< 0.01), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) (P<0.01), specific phobia (P<0.05) between children of two groups but there wasn’t significant difference in social phobia. It can be concluded that the children of female nurses employed in rotating shift are prone to psychological problems more than other group

The purpose of present research was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral group therapy on decreasing of irrational beliefs in students. The research procedure was quasi _experimental with pretest_ posttest and control group design. Population was male students of boarding high school in Tarom district of Gazvin province. Sample group consisted of 16 student that were randomly selected and allocated into experimental and control groups. Instruments were Jones irrational inventory. The experimental group participated in 8 session cognitive behavioral group therapy, while the control group was not received any treatment. T_ test result of pretest and posttest revealed that there is a significant difference (p<0/05) between groups, so that cognitive behavioral group therapy helps to decrease irrational beliefs in total scale and the subscales of blame proneness, anxious over concern, dependency, and helplessness for change.

Signal detection theory (SDT) has consisting of two basic components: A perceptual component, which has to do with the effect of presenting a signal on an observer's perception, and a decision component (criteria), which has to do with an observer's use of response criteria. In the present study, the effect of motivational manipulating has been investigated on the sensivity and response bias in risky people. 34 students of Tabriz Azad University were selected by convenience sampling. Based on scores in the Zuckerman sensation seeking and Eysenck impulsivity questionnaires they were put in risky (9 males and 8 females) and conservative (8 males and 9 females) groups and computer tasks related to the motivational manipulation was performed on them. The results were analyzed by the use of SDT and mixed two-way analysis of variance.
Findings indicated that risky indiviuals in tasks with low scores and conservative indiviuals in task with high scores have had high response discrimination. Since manipulating of ratio affected the response sensitivity; people's discrimination has been more in tasks with low rates than in high rate ones. Score manipulation has affected neither indiviuals nor group’s response bias. But indiviual's response bias in high rate tasks has been less than the low rate ones. As well as risky indiviuals in tasks with low rates, and conservative indiviuals in tasks with high rates, have had a more conservative criterion. So it can be concluded that personality variables in dealing with motivational variables affect response sensitivity and bias.

The aim of current Research was to investigate the relationship between perfectionism with life satisfaction and aggression among high school students. Accordigly, 370 students (184girls and 186 boys) were selected through random multistage sampling method and then were assessed by Huebner life satisfaction questionnaire (Aslani etal perfect Scale-Revised (2001) and Buss& perry’ aggression scale. Results indicated that perfectionism with life satisfaction and aggression has a significant and positive correlation. Among dimensions of perfectionism, there was a significant positive relation between order and personal standards with life satisfaction and between discrepancy and order with aggression. Results of multiple regression analysis showed that dimensions of order and personal standards are the best predictor of life satisfaction. In addition, dimensions of discrepancy and order can predict aggression in a meaningful manner.
