For data collection, the multidimensional experimental avoidance questionnaire of Gamez et al. (2011) was used. The intervention experimental group received emotion-oriented integrated therapy based on compassion in 10 sessions of 60 minutes. Finally, the research data were analyzed by multivariate covariance analysis. The findings of the research showed that the combination of emotion regulation therapy and compassion therapy has reduced experiential avoidance in women who have experienced domestic violence. Based on the findings of the research, taking into account the important role of women in society and family and the need to pay attention to their mental health, it is necessary to hold training workshops in the field of compassion therapy and emotion regulation therapy in counseling and rehabilitation centers
