This study aimed at investigating the mediating role of spiritual well-being in the relationship between mental health and social and emotional well-beings in people living in the Tabriz Metropolis. The present study is a correlation study using structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of all residents in Tabriz, out of whom 600 were selected through purposeful sampling and completed the General Health Questionnaire, Spiritual Well-being Scale, Social Well-being Scale, and Emotional Well-being of the Standard Mental Well-being Scale. The structural equation modeling was used to analyze the inferential statistics through LISREL. The results showed that the variables of emotional well-being, social well-being and spiritual well-being have a significant and positive effect on mental health of people in Tabriz. The values of path coefficients in the final model of the study indicated that emotional well-being, spiritual well-being, and social well-being could directly explain the changes in mental health variables as 38%, 62%, and 47%, respectively. On the other hand, it was revealed that emotional well-being (with coefficient of 0.44) indirectly had an effect through the moderator variable of spiritual well-being on the dependent variable of mental health. Moreover, the findings showed that social well-being had no significant effect on spiritual well-being. Finally, the findings indicated that emotional well-being and social well-being had the highest impact on the variable of mental health. Besides, spiritual well-being plays a moderating role in the relationship between emotional well-being and mental health.
