Abstract
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the structural relations of psychological capital with the quality and life satisfaction components on life expectancy.
Method: In this study, 744 middle aged people (equally in both sexes) were selected using the method of correlation. Data was collected using the scales of life expectancy (LES), quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF), psychological capital questions (PCQ) and life satisfaction (SWLS). To analyzing the structural relations, the structural equation modeling (SEM) was used.
Results: The results showed that psychological capital variables affecting the weight with the factors of quality of life and life satisfaction with the factor of direct and indirect effect of 0/69 explained the life expectancy variable of 0/48 out of total Variance belonging to middle aged people (p<0/001). In general, analyzing data showed that the measured model was acceptable.
Conclusion: Effect of psychological capital has positive and significant role in life expectancy’s changes with quality and life satisfaction factors. Accordingly, the more the quality of life and life satisfaction in the variable of psychological capital, the more is the life expectancy in middle aged people.
